Summer Math Camp Expands to Serve More Than 50 Students

In Summer 2026, UPLIFT Academy expanded its Summer Math Camp to serve more than 50 students through four intensive two-week programs. Three groups were held in July at UPLIFT Academy’s Newark Learning Center, with an additional group scheduled for the second half of August at New Birth Church. Each group participates in approximately 40 hours of math instruction, giving students an opportunity to strengthen foundational skills, and prepare for the academic demands of the upcoming school year.

UPLIFT Supports Families Through Eid al-Adha Meat Distribution

In June 2026, UPLIFT Academy organized a series of Eid al-Adha Meat Distributions as part of the community service component of its College Path Mentorship (CPM) program. The meat was provided by Embrace Relief Foundation, which collects Qurbani donations and distributes the meat to families in need during Eid al-Adha.

Career Fair Helps Students Explore College and Career Pathways

On April 19, 2026, UPLIFT Academy hosted a Career Fair to introduce students to a variety of professions and helped them explore possible college and career pathways. Approximately 40 students participated in the Career Fair, creating a shared learning environment where students could explore new professions, engage in discussions, and reflect on their own interests and aspirations.

Spring Break SAT Bootcamp Focuses on Math Success

UPLIFT Academy hosted a Spring Break SAT Bootcamp designed to give high school students an opportunity to strengthen their math skills and prepare for the SAT during their school break between April 4-8, 2026. The five-day program provided students with focused academic instruction and a supportive learning environment where they could dedicate time to SAT preparation.

CPM Students Give Back Through Ramadan Food Distribution

In March 2026, UPLIFT Academy organized a Ramadan Food Package Distribution as part of the community service component of its College Path Mentorship (CPM) program. Somerset Math Enrichment Program Begins with 12 Students

UPLIFT Academy launched the Somerset Math Enrichment Program on February 1, 2026, in partnership with Central Jersey Community Center (CJCC), providing students in grades 8–12 with additional academic support in mathematics. The program began with 12 students, who were divided into three groups to create a more focused learning environment and provide instruction better suited to their academic needs.
