We are delighted to announce that the first Open House of our STEAM Academies in our new location will be held at 10.30 am on January 27, 2024. Our guest speaker, Yusuf Kocaman, a recent graduate, who studied Computer Science at Princeton University, visited the College Path Mentorship mentees at Seminary Baptist Church in Paterson and Union Baptist Church in Passaic City.
Our guest speaker, Metin San, a student at Ramapo College majoring in Biochemistry, visited the College Path Mentorship mentees at Alaaka Association at Newark on December 2nd, 2023.
Uplift has donated and installed 2 smart boards at the Masjid Al Iman and Union Baptist Church, which are its partners in College Path Mentorship Program and STEAM Academies.
Our guest speaker, Mucteba Gur the Youth Coordinator at Sky Academy NJ, visited the College Path Mentorship mentees at Masjid Fallahee in Newark on November 11, 2023.
Math and coding classes for 8th and 9th-grade students started on November 11th at the Alaaka Association in Newark. Our second location will start at the Al-Iman Masjid in Jersey City very soon.
Summer Math Camps Closing Ceremony at the Fallahee Masjid in Newark took place on August 4, 2023. As part of this ceremony, students were awarded certificates to recognize their achievements, and they received gift cards ranging from $20 to $60 based on their academic performance.
Our second Summer Math Camp for 9th and 10th graders has started in two locations, the Alaaka Association in Newark and Fallahee Masjid in Newark. Students are participating in activities such as chess, mind games, and enjoyable pastimes during their breaks.
Our annual Essay Bootcamp was held between June 11-12, 2023 at Montclair State University. The Bootcamp prepared current juniors and sophomores for college application process. UpLift Academy is proud of the 30 students who attended this event.
