UPLIFT Academy recently treated students from our College Path Mentorship and Math & Coding programs to an outing at Funplex, acknowledging their hard work. This fun-filled day provided an opportunity for students to relax, bond, and celebrate their achievements, leaving them with cherished memories and renewed determination.

On April 6th, 2024, guest speaker Selim Bayam, a current Information Technology student at Rutgers University, visited the College Path Mentorship mentees at Seminary Baptist Church in Paterson. He emphasized the importance of 'having responsibilities and managing our time' as the second guest speaker.
Moutar Sampil, a dedicated high school senior in our College Path Mentorship program for two years, aims to study Marketing at Rutgers New Brunswick. His hard work paid off with acceptances to Montclair, Rutgers Newark, Rutgers New Brunswick, and others. UpLift Academy congratulates him with a $100 gift card and wishes him success in his college journey.
Our guest speaker, Iysha Arun, a graduate, visited the College Path Mentorship mentees at Fallahee and Alaaka in Newark on March 9th, 2024. Iysha provided insightful insights into the importance of setting achievable goals and how it contributes to academic success. Her advice has been incredibly beneficial for our students. Setting realistic and attainable goals enables individuals to accomplish meaningful results within a reasonable timeframe. Moreover, she had an activity where students decided on their first goal that they will achieve.
We held parent meetings at Alaaka Association on February 10th and at Masjid Fallahee on February 17th. These meetings marked a significant step towards strengthening ties between Uplift and parents, as well as enhancing parental involvement in the educational journey of their children.
