In late August 2026, UPLIFT Academy distributed back-to-school supplies to students and families at five community partner locations: Alaaka Association, Masjid Fallahee, Masjid Mubarak, Masjid Muhammad, and Seminary Baptist Church. The backpacks were generously sponsored by Embrace Relief and the Turkish Cultural Center, helping students begin the new school year with essential supplies.
The initiative reflected UPLIFT Academy’s commitment to supporting students and families beyond the classroom. By working through trusted community partners, UPLIFT was able to reach families directly in the communities it serves.
Earlier in the summer, on July 30, 2026, UPLIFT Academy also participated in a Back-to-School event in East Orange organized by Congresswoman LaMonica McIver and East Orange Mayor Ted R. Green. The event brought together families, community organizations, and local leaders to help students prepare for the upcoming school year.
Through both its partner-site distributions and participation in community events, UPLIFT Academy continues to strengthen relationships with families and community partners while helping students start the school year prepared and confident.
