UPLIFT Academy’s College Path Mentorship program recently embarked on an enlightening journey, visiting two esteemed institutions, NJIT and Rutgers Newark, on Saturday, April 27th, 2024.

At NJIT, we explored the vibrant campus atmosphere and learned about the cutting-edge academic programs they offer. From engineering to computer science, NJIT showcased its commitment to innovation and excellence in education.
Rutgers University: A Tapestry of Opportunities
Our exploration didn’t end there; Rutgers University welcomed us with open arms, inviting us to immerse ourselves in its rich tapestry of history and opportunities.
Following our visit to NJIT, we headed to Rutgers University, where we were immersed in the rich history and diverse opportunities available to students. Rutgers’ sprawling campus and wide array of majors left a lasting impression on all of us.
Engagement and Insights:
Throughout our visit, our mentees seized the opportunity to engage with faculty members and current students. These interactions provided invaluable insights into college life and the intricate admissions process, offering a glimpse into the reality. Fortunately, we stumbled upon NJIT’s senior presentation, allowing our students firsthand access to inspiring projects and academic endeavors.
Inspiration and Aspiration:
As the day concluded, it was evident that our college tour had ignited a flame of inspiration within our students. The immersive experience of campus life and academic exploration served as a catalyst for their ambitions, motivating them to strive for excellence and set ambitious goals for their futures.
