We’re pleased to announce that UPLIFT Academy has formed strategic partnerships with two outstanding community organizations, Circle of Care for Families & Children of Passaic County (Circle of Care), serving youth and families in Passaic County, and Masjid Mubarak, serving mainly the Nigerian community in Newark.
UPLIFT Academy’s Summer Math Camps for middle and high school students in Newark, Paterson, and neighboring communities have started. This annual program is taking place across four locations this summer — the UPLIFT Office, Masjid Fallahee, Masjid Mubarak, and Circle of Care.
Uplift Academy is thrilled to announce the launch of our Summer Math Camps for underserved students in Paterson, Newark, and neighboring towns. This free program offers an exciting opportunity for students to explore dynamic math lessons, participate in engaging activities, and enjoy complimentary lunches—all designed to boost their academic confidence and make the most of their summer break.
UPLIFT Academy’s annual Essay Bootcamp for high school juniors was a tremendous success, bringing together students from multiple partner sites for two days of focused writing, learning, and growth. Held on April 19–20, in partnership with SKY Academy at its Youth Center in Rochelle Park, the camp equipped juniors with the tools they need to craft compelling personal statements for their college applications.
On March 23, 2025, UPLIFT Academy’s College Path Mentorship (CPM) students put compassion into action through the annual Eid Smiles community service project. Working through our partner sites — Alaaka Association and Masjid Fallahee — mentees identified 30 children from low-income families to share in the joy of Eid.
We are incredibly proud of our College Path Mentorship (CPM) students at various locations for organizing a meaningful community service project – "Food Drive" in Ramadan. Our students took the initiative to identify families in need, reach out to them, and coordinate the distribution of essential food items. The packages were distributed on Saturday, March 8th, 2025.
As part of UPLIFT Academy’s College Path Mentorship (CPM) program, we regularly invite accomplished guest speakers to inspire, guide, and empower our high school students as they prepare for their college journeys. These talks provide students with first-hand insights into the college experience, strategies for success, and the motivation to pursue their goals with confidence.
At UPLIFT Academy, we believe student success reaches its fullest potential when UPLIFT, our community partners, and families work together in a spirit of shared responsibility and continuous communication. This collaborative approach creates a strong foundation where students are supported from all sides—academically, emotionally, and socially.
UPLIFT Academy proudly launched its College and Career Mentorship program with a kickoff meeting at Rutgers University on January 26, 2025. This new initiative extends our academic pipeline by supporting college students—many of them graduates of our College Path Mentorship program—as they navigate the transition from campus to career.
In the spirit of gratitude and community, UPLIFT Academy organized a Thanksgiving Food Distribution event at two of our partner locations—Alaaka Association and Masjid Fallahee. With the help of local administration teams, we identified families in need and ensured that support reached those who could benefit most during the holiday season.
