UPLIFT Academy’s Summer Math Camps for middle and high school students in Newark, Paterson, and neighboring communities have started. This annual program is taking place across four locations this summer — the UPLIFT Office, Masjid Fallahee, Masjid Mubarak, and Circle of Care.
Over the course of two weeks, students participated in 40 hours of intensive math instruction, engaging lessons, hands-on activities, and complimentary lunches in a supportive and fun learning environment. Designed for students entering grades 8–12, the camp strengthened foundational skills, boosted confidence, and helped students prepare for the upcoming school year.
Early results reflected the camp’s strong impact. 92% of students attended to improve their math skills, 67% participated to prepare for SAT Math, and 83% reported moderate to significant confidence boosts. Students rated the camp 8 out of 10 or higher, highlighting the program’s effectiveness and the quality of instruction.
With enthusiastic participation and strong community support, this year’s Summer Math Camps marked another important step in UPLIFT’s mission to close learning gaps and expand high-quality educational opportunities for underserved youth.
