On October 26, 2024, we launched our Math & Coding program for 8th and 9th-grade students at Alaaka, beginning with an engaging orientation session for students. This program is designed to strengthen students’ foundational math skills while introducing them to essential concepts in computer programming, fostering both analytical thinking and creativity.

Our mission is to equip middle school students with the tools they need to thrive in high school and beyond by reinforcing math fundamentals and introducing the logic and structure of coding at an early age. In the coding section of the program, students begin learning Python, a widely used and beginner-friendly programming language that builds computational thinking and problem-solving skills.

This initiative is a key part of UPLIFT Academy’s educational Pipeline Philosophy, which guides underprivileged students through a structured sequence of academic programs from elementary grades through high school. Students who complete the Math & Coding program are invited to join our flagship College Path Mentorship (CPM) program, where they receive free SAT prep, college application guidance, and holistic support to prepare them for admission into four-year colleges.

By connecting learning across grade levels, we aim to create a continuous and supportive academic journey that empowers our students to succeed—not just in school, but in life.
