On March 23, 2025, UPLIFT Academy’s College Path Mentorship (CPM) students put compassion into action through the annual Eid Smiles community service project. Working through our partner sites — Alaaka Association and Masjid Fallahee — mentees identified 30 children from low-income families to share in the joy of Eid.
With generous support from Embrace Relief Foundation, each child received a $75 gift card to shop for new clothes, toys, or gifts of their choice. Our CPM students chaperoned the children during the trip, guiding them through the store and helping them pick out their favorite items.
The project not only brightened the children’s holiday, but also gave our CPM mentees a meaningful opportunity to give back to their community — learning firsthand the joy of service, empathy, and leadership.
