The close of the summer and the beginning of the fall semester were filled with excitement at UPLIFT Academy as we held multiple Certificate Ceremonies to honor the dedication and hard work of our students. These events recognized the successful completion of the College Path Mentorship (CPM) and Summer Math Camp programs, bringing together students, families, mentors, and community partners to celebrate student progress and commitment.
Across all partner locations, students were recognized for their efforts in SAT preparation, math enrichment, college readiness activities, and consistent engagement throughout the year. During the ceremonies, participants received certificates of completion and gift cards of up to $200, awarded based on attendance, effort, and academic growth.
For Summer Math Camp students, the celebrations highlighted impressive accomplishments, including strengthened foundational skills, increased confidence, and outstanding gains — with many reporting significant improvement in math skills and high satisfaction ratings from the camp experience.
Alongside the Summer Math Camps, CPM students were celebrated for their growth in SAT Math and English, essay writing, leadership development, and college readiness. Many students achieved remarkable gains, including an average 200-point increase on SAT practice tests, a 100% college acceptance rate for graduating seniors, and strong mentor-mentee relationships that helped guide their academic journeys. The ceremonies reaffirmed CPM’s role as a cornerstone of UPLIFT’s pipeline—supporting students from high school to college with personalized, culturally responsive mentorship.
The first ceremony took place on August 15th at Fallahee, honoring students from both Fallahee and Alaaka who completed the CPM and Summer Math Camp. This was followed by a ceremony at Masjid Mubarak on August 24th, where Summer Math Camp participants were recognized. Finally, students from Paterson who completed the Summer Math Camp were celebrated at the UPLIFT Office on September 21st. These events brought together students, families, and mentors to recognize academic success and reinforce the community’s shared commitment to every student’s future.
These ceremonies were a powerful reminder of the collaborative spirit of the UPLIFT community. They not only celebrated academic milestones but also recognized the vital support of our parents, mentors, and community partners in making these achievements possible. Congratulations to all our students—you have earned this success!
