UPLIFT Academy is preparing to launch a new academic program, MERIT Scholars, in January 2027.

Designed for middle school students, MERIT Scholars will provide focused support in Math and English while helping students prepare for selective and magnet high school opportunities in Essex and Passaic counties.

The program will emphasize strong academic foundations, critical thinking, problem-solving, and the skills students need to succeed in competitive high school environments. Students will also receive guidance to better understand selective high school options and prepare for the application process.

With MERIT Scholars, UPLIFT Academy aims to expand its academic pipeline by reaching students earlier and helping them build the skills and confidence needed for the transition to high school.
