CPM Parent Meetings Bring Families, Mentors, and Staff Together
In February 2026, UPLIFT Academy held four parent meetings for families participating in the College Path Mentorship (CPM) program in Newark and Paterson. The meetings took place on different dates, with some held in person and others conducted via Zoom to make participation easier for families across multiple program locations.
The meetings gave parents an opportunity to connect with UPLIFT Academy staff and mentors, receive updates about the program, ask questions, and discuss ways to support their students throughout the academic year.
Through CPM, high school students receive academic support, SAT Math and English preparation, College Readiness Seminars, mentorship, and guidance as they prepare for college. During the parent meetings, families learned more about these resources and the expectations for students participating in the program.
Parent involvement is an important part of UPLIFT Academy’s approach. Regular communication between parents, mentors, and staff helps students stay focused, make effective use of available resources, and receive consistent support throughout their educational journey. The February meetings also gave parents an opportunity to share feedback and raise questions about their students’ experiences. By maintaining strong communication with families and community partners, UPLIFT Academy continues to build a supportive network around each student.
We are grateful to the parents who participated in these meetings and continue to play an active role in their students’ success.
